Ich wollte auf meiner Reise durch Griechenland etwas \u00fcber die Bedingungen der in diesem Land\u201cgestrandeten\u201c Fl\u00fcchtlinge erfahren. Ich habe daher versucht bei Gelegenheit mit Gefl\u00fcchteten in Kontakt zu kommen. Einmal sprach ich in einem Bus zwei Afghanen an die auf dem Weg zu einer Polizeistation irgendwo in einem Randbezirk von Thessaloniki waren. Ich begleitete die beiden, weil ich hoffte so Einblick in ihren Alltag zu erhalten.In einem Park direkt neben der Polizeistation sa\u00dfen etwa zwanzig Fl\u00fcchtlinge im Schatten der B\u00e4ume. Fawad war einer davon. Er sprach von allen am besten Englisch und so unterhielt ich mich haupts\u00e4chlich mit ihm.Wir redeten den ganzen Nachmittag und ich erfuhr viel \u00fcber seine Situation und das Leben der Gefl\u00fcchteten in Griechenland. Er erkl\u00e4rte mir auch, dass er schon seit einiger Zeit t\u00e4glich zu dieser Polizeistation komme um vor\u00fcbergehend in Gewahrsam genommen zu werden. Dies sei n\u00f6tig, um ein wichtiges Dokument zu erhalten. Tats\u00e4chlich kamen am sp\u00e4teren Nachmittag einige Beamte aus der Polizeistation um etwa f\u00fcnf der anwesenden Fl\u00fcchtlinge zu verhaften. Es gab ein regelrechtes Gerangel um unter den Auserw\u00e4hlten zu sein \u2013 <strong>Fawad<\/strong> geh\u00f6rte an jenem Tag aber nicht dazu. Er sagte mir, dass er es am n\u00e4chsten Tag erneut versuchen werde und dass er, sobald er das Dokument habe, nach Athen fahren werde. Da Athen auch meine n\u00e4chste Station sein sollte, wollten wir uns dort treffen.<br \/>\n<strong>Fawad<\/strong>: We met each other in Greece, Thessaloniki, for the first time. I think it was June the 25th 2018. Other refugees and I were waiting in front of the police station to get a paper, that would allow us to stay in Greece for one month, when I saw two Afghan guys coming towards us. <strong>Daniel<\/strong> was with them. Because I was one oft the only ones who could speak English, I started talking to Daniel. We talked about our journeys and about Switzerland for almost three hours that day. When we went apart, we exchanged numbers and decided on meeting again in Athens, since we both planned on going there anyways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How was your shared time in Greece? &#8211; Wie war eure gemeinsame Zeit in Griechenland?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fawad<\/strong>: When I got my paper from the police, I went to Athens, where I met <strong>Danie<\/strong>l again. We went around the city together and visited a refugee camp and met some Afghan families. After all we became good friends. When I asked him about his plans, he told me, that he was going to leave Greece soon, travel to Italy and go back to Switzerland from there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel<\/strong>: Tats\u00e4chlich sahen wir uns einige Tage sp\u00e4ter in Athen wieder. Nachdem wir zusammen die Stadt besichtigt haben, f\u00fchrte mich Fawad zum Fl\u00fcchtlingscamp in dem er seit kurzem wohnte. Es lag weit entfernt vom Zentrum, irgendwo in einem Vorort von Athen. Das Camp bestand aus einer \u00fcberschaubaren Anzahl von Containern, die zu kleinen Wohnungen umfunktioniert wurden. Wir verbrachten den ganzen Abend bei Bismillah, einem Freund von <strong>Fawad<\/strong>. Im Gespr\u00e4ch mit den beiden wurde mir die Ausweglosigkeit ihrer Situation deutlich. Die Grenzen ins \u00fcbrige Europa sind f\u00fcr sie verschlossen und ihre Aussichten sich in Griechenland eine Existenz aufzubauen sind aufgrund der prek\u00e4ren wirtschaftlichen Situation im Land sehr schlecht. Trotzdem, konnte ich bei Fawad keine Resignation feststellen. Er war zuversichtlich, dass er einen Weg nach Mitteleuropa finden wird. Da ich am n\u00e4chsten Morgen meine Heimreise antrat, verabschiedeten wir uns an jenem Abend im Ungewissen ob wir uns je wieder sehen w\u00fcrden. Wir versprachen uns aber weiterhin online in Kontakt zu bleiben<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wie habt ihr euch aus den Augen verloren? \u2013 How did you lose sight of each other? Wann war das? \u2013 When was that?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel:<\/strong> In den darauf folgenden Monaten unterhielten wir uns regelm\u00e4ssig via Facebook. Fawad berichtete mir jeweils von seinen vergeblichen Versuchen Griechenland in Richtung Mitteleuropa zu verlassen. Ab Mitte M\u00e4rz 2019 konnte ich Fawad nicht mehr erreichen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fawad: Daniel<\/strong> and I were messaging every Saturday and Sunday for almost nine months after he had left Greece, and he was trying to help me a lot. Then, one day, I lost my mobile phone with <strong>Daniels<\/strong> number in it. And I could not login to my Facebook account anymore, because I forgot my password. I also forgot <strong>Daniels<\/strong> last name, that\u2018s why I could not find him with my new Facebook account. I was trying to find his profile a lot, to tell him that I am in Switzerland now and because I knew he was worried about me. But I could not find him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you find each other again? &#8211; Wie habt ihr euch wieder gefunden?<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Fawad<\/strong>: When I came to Lucerne I found some friends. We were playing, learning and sometimes <strong>lets Eat together.<\/strong> And one day I met <strong>Hanna<\/strong>, and we became friends as well. When I told her the story of Daniel, she promised me that she will help me find him. She was trying to find him for a long time, but it was not easy, because we did not have a lot of information about him. After all, one day me and Hanna sat together and searched for one more hour, and we found him. I sent him a message, to tell him that I am in Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel<\/strong>: Am 11 Oktober 2019, also etwa ein halbes Jahr nach dem letzten Kontakt, erhielt ich eine Whatsapp- Nachricht von <strong>Fawad<\/strong>. Mindestens ebenso \u00fcberraschend wie die unverhoffte Nachricht, war ich \u00fcber die Tatsache, dass er in der Zwischenzeit in Luzern lebte. Er hatte es nach unz\u00e4hligen Versuchen schlussendlich doch geschafft mit der F\u00e4hre von Griechenland nach Italien zu gelange und in der Schweiz um Asyl zu ersuchen. Er erkl\u00e4rte mir, dass er vor einigen Monaten sein Telefon mit s\u00e4mtlichen Kontakten verloren hatte und es daher f\u00fcr ihn sehr schwierig war mich ausfindig zu machen. Gl\u00fccklicherweise konnte er aber bei der Suche nach mir auf die Hilfe seiner neuen Bekannten Hanna z\u00e4hlen. Wie ich sp\u00e4ter erfuhr, hatte sie schlaflose N\u00e4chte damit verbracht mich, nur anhand meines Vornamens und einer vagen Vorstellung meines Nachnamens, in den Weiten des Internets aufzusp\u00fcren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wie war das erste Wiedersehen f\u00fcr dich? \u2013 How whas your first reunion for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel<\/strong>: Gleich am Sonntag nach unserem erneuten Kontakt besuchte ich Fawad in seinem neuen Zuhause, einem Asylheim in der N\u00e4he von Luzern. Es war sehr sch\u00f6n <strong>Fawad<\/strong> nach so langer Zeit wieder zu sehen. Wir verbrachten den ganzen Sonntag zusammen und er erkl\u00e4rte mir wie es ihn schlussendlich in die Schweiz verschlagen hat und wie er und Hanna mich ausfindig gemacht haben. Ich bin sehr gl\u00fccklich dar\u00fcber, dass Fawad nun in der Schweiz lebt und dass er einen positiven Entscheid auf seinen Asylantrag erhalten hat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fawad: Daniel<\/strong> just asked for my address and visited me two days after I first contacted him.
